Complex data-driven web application development is my specialty!
I have designed and helped develop multi-million dollar web applications and worked in a variety of industries. Building applications of this magnitude require a high degree of competence, experience, critical thinking and efficiency. I have consistently been considered an "A-player" in my previous positions at large organizations and have quickly moved up the ladder from developer to project manager to the software engineering manager managing a team of over 10.
My passion remains on the focus on technology, but my leadership experience is a key component of what differentiates me from the countless other consultants out there. I become fully engaged in every project I take on strive to exceed my clients expectations.
Check out my resume for the details of my experience. In short, I have faced many complex challenges in my career and have always succeeded. In fact, I love to be challenged and feel that I am at my best when the task seems impossible. I have solid critical thinking skills and always consider alternate solutions before moving forward.
With all of that said, those how know me would describe me as a very humble, although it may not sound like it from the self promoting mentioned above. Anyway, below is list of the software development tools I use.
Development Tools:
Microsoft Visual Studio .Net (C# / VB.Net)
Dreamweaver CS3
SQL Server 2000, 2005
Infragistics Presentation Layer Controls
Telerik Presentation Layer Controls
Red Gate SQL Data Tools
Iron Speed Designer Rapid Application Development
DotNetNuke
DotNetNuke Third Party modules (too many to mention)
Codesmith
Multiple other small 3rd party .Net components
Why should you care?
My experience working for large organizations has provided me the opportunity to try out a multitude of development tools. Over the years, I have collected a strong arsenal of tools that allow me to generate applications at a highly expedited pace compared to developing from scratch.
The tools I utilize save approximately 40% of the work required on average per project. This directly translates to a very significant direct cost savings and decreased time to market for the client. Many of these tools have very high licensing costs, and are therefore out of reach for many consultants. So, a great question to ask of any consultant that you are considering hiring: “What development tools do you use?”
